The Tarp on the Driveway

Two officers had separately been eluded by the driver of a distinctive orange and black motorcycle with an extended frame. One officer found Facebook photos of a similar motorcycle under a white tarp in a driveway, and drove to the house. The officer parked on the street and could see what appeared to be the motorcycle under a white tarp in the same location as the motorcycle in the Facebook photograph. After the officer confirmed the motorcycle was stolen by running the VIN and licence plate, he waited in his car. When the Defendant returned, the officer arrested him. The Defendant admitted the motorcycle was his and that he had bought it without a title.
