The facts
On April 28, 2016, a Douglas County deputy ran a licence plate check on a 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck during routine patrol. The check showed the truck was registered to the Defendant and that the Defendant's driver's licence had been revoked. The deputy stopped the truck; the Defendant was indeed driving. A second deputy had no information to suggest that anyone other than the Defendant was driving. There was no indication the vehicle was borrowed, stolen, or operated by a family member.
